AstroApp allows you to listen to your MP3 music located anywhere on your computer remotely from another computer or on a Palm OS device. With a Palm OS device this gives you about an hour and a half of remote listening time or about three hours local listening time when running from battery power. The most popular configuration is to have your Treo or Centro mounted on your car dashboard plugged into your car's AC port. Then plug your device's headphone jack into the AUX port of your stereo system. You'll need a 2.5mm mini male-to-female adapater and a 3.5mm male-to-male stereo cable. To use the remote MP3 Player follow these 11 steps.
  1. Download AstroApp to your desktop computer.
  2. Launch AstroApp and create a username with the "Create New User" button.
  3. Login by supplying the username and password you just created.
  4. Download AstroApp onto another computer or your Palm OS device. For Palm OS do this by using your desktop computer and performing a hotsync or by downloading it directly using the web browser on your Palm OS device.
  5. Launch AstroApp and choose "Remote MP3 Login" from the "Login" menu.
  6. Supply the same username and password you used on your desktop computer in Step 3. Click "Listen".
  7. The MP3 Player will automatically open along with a list where you can choose an artist and search for songs. On Palm OS click the button that looks like a computer with the letters "PC" to bring up this list.
  8. Select an artist to view songs or type in the search field to find songs.
  9. Select a song from the list to start playing.
  10. You can Pause, restart song, go to previous song, and go to next song with the associated buttons of the MP3Player.
  11. The MP3 Player also allows you to listen to songs on your SD card or local hard disk by clicking the button that has the letters "SD" on it.
Currently the remote MP3 Player works on any computer and on Treo 680, 700p, 755p and the Centro with internet service. Internet access on these phones needs to be unlimited. We recommend Sprint PCS because they charge $15 per month for this and another $5 off per month if you call customer service and ask to have Picture Mail removed. Verizon charges $30 for the same service. Playing songs remotely using a Wifi card is supported on older devices as long as there is an MP3 decoder present.

Mobile MP3 streaming is currently free to try out and $20 for guaranteed lifetime use. Another benefit to this service is being able to listen to the preferred artists list. We add 3 popular artists to this list each week and their songs and albums are searchable alongside your music. To pay the one time fee for this service use the following payment button. It will take you to PayPal where your Mastercard or Visa will be securely processed.
